Pick up from your hotel for an introductory tour of Kota Kinabalu City, the state capital of Sabah – The Land Below the Wind. Kota Kinabalu city sits on the edge of the South China Sea overlooking the coral-fringed islands and Crocker Range in the backdrop. The tour includes visits to the majestic Sabah Foundation Building, Buddhist temple and the unique State Mosque with its contemporary Islamic architecture. Visit the Sabah Museum and see the vast collection of tribal and historical artifacts and see the sandy beaches of Tanjung Aru before you proceed to a local restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, proceed on a 45 minute journey to the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park located at the South West of Kota Kinabalu city. This park, operated by Sabah Wildlife Department, covers an area of 280 acres. There are more than 100 species of mammals and birds kept in captivity like elephants, orang utan, rhino, clouded leopard, proboscis monkeys and lots more! In the late afternoon, return to Kota Kinabalu and drop off at your hotel by 1600hrs.
